of course it needs work...

door handle inside driver
soft top has small hole and window is 1/2 out, but came with hardtop
i have decided it could be a project car for myself and kids. my little boy loves working on cars with daddy.

Welcome, Gary ---

So, what's your first project with the Capri?

Just bought mine this fall ... only been driving it a couple days now.  First project was struts, tie rod ends, cam seals, crank seal, tranny oil fill (it was nearly dry --- it's a booger to fill up) ....

Thanks everyone.

temporary patch on air filter outlet hose done for now.
I'm gonna start with simple cheap things.
Just had LH motor mount replaced. Fuel pump and filters replaced.

1. I need to check fluids, hoses, belts.
2.I've got an oil leak around the valve cover gasket. that will need to be taken care of first.
3. check spark plugs and wires.
4. drive up and down the road a few dozen times grinning like a fool.

comming up later... speedometer cable, trunk lock, troubleshoot 'air bag' lamp flashing, door handles.

I't looks pretty good underneath.

making a list for bigger projects and pricing parts. not sure what the 1st bigger project will be yet.

I may drive it to work one day next week.

Kevin, do you get parts from local Auto Supply or other places?
parts stores here have some things in computers, other things not listed.

One of the best places for parts is Roo-Sport. www.roo-sport.com Russ Carlson is the owner and he WILL take care of you. Anything you need, just give him a call. 503-9194CAPri (919-4229)Also, keep an eye out at your local junk yard. You can get lots of good parts cheap that way. For new parts www.rockauto.com is a good place to start. They will have most of the mechanical parts you will need. Keep browsing this forum and the FaceBook groups for owners selling extra parts. We all take care of each other, so good deals abound!! Hope that helps!!

thanks Tony
my parts catalog from roo-sport arrived this past Thursday. local junk yard trips planned soon. 4 within 30 or 40 miles. I suppose me and my little boy will make a couple picnic trips and try to visit 2 each trip.
