Engine Won't Stop Running
« on: February 21, 2025, 10:17:25 AM »

So yeah my Capri has this weird intermittent problem where I can take the key out of the ignition and the engine keeps running and the dash lights stay on. But if I stall the car, then disconnect the battery and then reconnect it, everything resets back to normal... until I start the car and the engine won't stop again.

More recently another odd problem has started which I've wondered if maybe it's related to the engine not stopping. So when I turn the key to accessories the lights on the dash will come on and then 1/2 second later there will be a click and suddenly the dash lights and all the interior lights will go out. At first I thought a fuse had blown but then the lights came back on after a few minutes so I then tried turning the key to accessories again, and the same thing happened, only this time it was hours before the interior lights started working again.

Any ideas as to what's wrong will be appreciated
