windsheild wiper blade failed

so today my windsheild wiper blades stopped working. when i turn them on i can hear some clicking and slight moving... but no dice i had to wiggle them and they went down so the motor still works ... what could the problem be.

My guess is the rotary switch in the motor is gummed up. Maybe find a spare motor assembly and swap it.

The only other thing I could think of is the controller box, but you hear clicking so it sounds like that part is working.

ok so it decided out of nowhere to start working again but the left windsheild blade needs a new gear i think, it moves freely without the motor.
