If you have a manual transmission, just put the car in 5th gear, on the ground.  It loosens just like any regular bolt.  But you don't need to remove that bolt to get the drive belt pulley's off.

awe, i suspected i didn't have to remove the large fastener..

so i removed the four 10mm bolts, but cannot figure-out how to remove the pulleys..
-- are there pulley pullers for these types of things?

Did you take the belts off?  Take the belts off, then hit it with a hammer or something on the back.

i just turned it and pry'd off the pulleys.

i grew-up breaking things all the time, so i'm overly cautious.

If you have a small-nose crank, you don't need to remove the large bolt to get the t-belt off.

If you have a large nose crank, you need to remove the main crank bolt to get to the t-belt.

I make a tool that bolts in place of the pulleys, so you can easily remove/accurate re-torque the crank bolt:

thread:  http://teamcapri.com/capri-gi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=11;t=000559

My paypal is: rocketman[AT]werbatfik.com

Please note this one fits only the small nose crank

Which do you have? I can expedite development of the large-nose version and have it available in a day or two

The tool is cooling in the mold as I type here, I'll post pictures of it later tonight. Going to cast a handful of them tonight
