power mirrors

Hi Guys, I have a 91 SAII, the power mirrors have never worked right since I bought it, they will only come in and down but not out and up(both sides), does anyone know why this occurs and how to fix it.

Welcome to TeamCapri! One thread might have done it for your repairs, no need for three separate threads. The Garage section is for build threads, I'll move your threads to the appropriate section.

It sounds like one of the contacts inside the mirror switch may be buggered. I'd try cleaning it or replacing it, they're tricky inside. If you do take apart do so very carefully so the bits inside don't go everywhere.

yeah I did that and found out the hard way, bits went everywhere, I got a new switch but it does the same, unless the replacement switch is buggered as well, but not likely to be the same problem
