Recently i had someone replace my motor in my capri when i got it back it gets fuel and fire but it will not start theres one wire i cant figure out where it goes it is a small wire off the coil with a white plastic connecter

That doesn't go anywhere, it's a test connector for Ford's machines to measure a tachometer signal from the engine. There's something else going on

Good to know ok well like I said its getting good spark the cylinders are filling with gas and its cranking  my hoses look to be all hooked up including the maf  he did move the tps would that stop it from starting

Moving the TPS shouldn't keep it from starting. It will idle horribly and stumble like crazy while driving, but it SHOULD still start. Unplug it and try to start the car without it...

I tried what u said and its still doing the same thing. He just told me that he took off the timing chain when he replaced the water pump Idk y but he did could it just be out of time ?

Timing belt has to come off to replace the pump. Your problem lies exactly there. Take it off and time it correctly.

Was the chap who did your work a shadetree mechanic?? If so...go cut his tree down.

Yup, timing is almost for sure the problem. Have him come fix it for you and tell him he has to bring the beer to make up for the trouble! :)

Newb quedtion alert?!?7 where is tps sensor??!! I think I might need to unplug and clean it out.. Im pretty sure its whsts caising me some issues

The TPS is mounted on the driver side of the throttle body right in front. It's a black box held on by two adjustment screws. It has a round plug with I think, 4 wires going into it. Here's a pic...

You guys are awesome.. I unpluged it and had CEL light turn on. Turned it off. Then started it with tps unplugged and press gas pedal to start. Fired right up with no issues and no mis at idle or when driving between first and 2nd.. good luck to moot, hope everything works out for u bro
