Please share your experience or if you have a preference for the Original Convertible Top Lower Cables with the metal braid covering. Or the Replacement Type being sold nowadays which has a much more flexible poly sheath with no reinforcement.

What does it actually do? Mine broke when I installed my new top and I just installed it without it. doesnt seem to affect it.

When the top is "up" the cable is stretched taut and makes the lower top's quarter seal rigid.

My only experience is that all the cables seem to break at some point or another, hah.
