A while back, I noted that I will let everyone know how my car drive with the new struts and springs. Well, the handling was alot better than stock and bouncy on some of the roads in the Concord/Charlotte area.
I than had new ball joints and outer tie rods installed about a month later. This tighten the front suspension. However, I still wasn't satisfy. I was experiencing a clunk noise when taking off from a stop and vibration thru the steering wheel. I took my service advisor at the Kia/Chrysler dealership in Salisbury where I worked. He advised that I needed motor mounts, wheel bearings, and my front brake rotors were warped. From this, I ordered everything from NAPA except for the strut tower brace, motor mounts and belts.
To make a long story short, everything was installed except for the rotors and right side bearings. The installer discovered that my car had the turbo rotors and brakes. This was a total surprise because I ordered Non-turbo rotors. This made my day. As for the other parts installed, my car is almost back to new condition in term of tightness in the suspension but it handle better. It has been a long road to get the car back to this level.
Back to the rotor, I don't what happen but if anyone has a 94 NA Capri and has not changed the original rotor, I would check to see if your car has the turbo rotors and brakes. Like I said before, this was a nice surprise and replacements rotors are cheaper than the replacement NA rotors.
Next, water pump, crankshaft seals, and new clutch.
