My schedule is crazy for the rest of the year, but I'd give it a shot.  Did you have a date in mind?

oh no, im just now fathoming the idea.. so i figured id toss it out to see if anyone would be even interested... good to know you would be though mark...
if this comes to fruitation i will definately let you know... im just thinking that it would be a damn good "central" location to have one... maybe draw some of the more southern capri owners out...

thares a couple things lexington has no shortage of. that would work in a meets favor...
one is lodging, thares gotta be 50 different hotel motels here.

another is very large public parks with picnic areas and shelters.. enough that we wouldnt have to reserve anything.. or pay anything... they also have built in charcoal grills for cookouts and lots of picnic tables...

and many miles of back roads arround 100+ acre horsefarms for very epic, scenic cruises... if you like horses this is one place a visit would do you good...

and last but not least over 70 different restaurants. everything from asain to italian to real mexican to burgers and fries...

oh and we have 4 wal-marts too.. incase you forgot your toothbrush...

I didn't make Indy this year, because of surgery (can't push clutch), but depending on when, and if I can get another driver if I need one I'd come.  Hell; I drove to PA alone last year.  KY is a day trip.  Suggestion:  For us people where is snows.  Plan it for when we no loner have top down weather and you do.

good idea terri, thats why your my favorite...
ok yall, what would be a good date in the spring/fall that would suit your schedule..
and would not interfere with the MACG or the northeast meet of matts... this is in such its baby phases that really all suggestions would be appreciated...perhaps a spring meet that could pull yall out of the snow for a little bit!!
or a fall meet to get yall away from the snow one last weekend before the long winter...

suggestions????

the first annual bluegrass capri gathering and cruise...
shilito park Lexington Ky.

i think it has a good ring to it....

ill post up some pictures of the park and of arround lexington sometime... then we will all decide a time and date to hold it...

im thinking in the spring as a early gathering
to gear up to the macg then rockets northeast gathering can finish out the capri season in the fall...
that puts 3 gatherings in vastly different regions in three different seasons...
that gives you 3 shots to make a gathering and thares gotta be one within driving distance to you...

i also think that mine and rockets events should be limited to cookouts/cruises.. and the MACG will retain the awards and show side of our capri lifestyle (basicly the MACG will be the big show) shined and polished and hoods popped. in mid summer...with a cookout/cruise before and after in the spring and fall...

anyone else care to add ideas or comments on what i have elaborated on???

good, bad, ugly,????  thats our opinion we welcome yours...lol

I was thinking spring would be a great time for your meet. I'm pretty content keeping my meets just meet/greet/cruise/eat for now.
