Hey Boys! If you scout other auto forums and compare, you'll find this one is active. One has to keep in mind that the numbers of our cars over four years in production for the states only numbered in the several ten-thousand range. That being over fifteen years ago leaves a small number of these cars left. I'm a member of the yahoo group and there is next to zero activity and another forum based in Aust. and there is very little activity there. Our cousin cars, the 323mazda has little activity. Look around though and if you find something let us all know. I'll still be very thankful to Anthony for his work.  Gus

I agree with gus. The capri community is a small fraction in size compared to the DSM or Honda communtity. But way cooler

I was only basing my question off the fact that the galantvr4.org board is much busy. And there were only 3k GVR4's ever made for between 91 and 92.

Guess one just has to have more patience around these woods.    ;)

the 4G63T has much to do about that. plus think about all the NA cars who want to be TURBO...then you have all the DSM heads who will visit. when i owned my DSM i was on every board i could think of for ideas and deals.

this car was not sought after by the tuning scene. i remember when i owned my first 91XR2 back in 95 all the motor trend and car Mags bash on the car because it was not RWD and a maita. i removed all the badges and get so many questions about it when i am out. people are surprised about it and move on

I think the early 90s in general is out of the tuning scene all together. when it comes to cars getting modifies you normally see late 90s vehicles and onward. There is a capri yahoo board, but I don't think it gets nearly the same activity. It slowed down a lot after this board was put up, and the questions you want answered, more then likely will be answered here. There a lot of helpful people on this board, which make the board was it is today.

Looking on his list, the guy who initially remarked about the lack of activity doesn't appear to even own a Capri.  Perhaps that is a testament as to how difficult it is becoming to locate one.

Beyond surfing, that would certainly be a way to generate "activity" in the group.  Come on down!

This is actually the largest Capri-only forum on the internet. How big does it need to be? As Anthony said, there is enough activity here that most of your questions will be answered quickly. I always base my opinion of a forum on the quality of it's members, not the quantity.
I think you won't find a better Capri group ANYWHERE!

Yes, welcome aboard, ICURUNNIN.  I've lived in Houston, Wichita Falls and Dallas.  I've been told that I'm a nice guy, but I'd never be a Texan.  So I moved to Illinois...

Though owning a Capri gets lonely in Springfield, Illinois, I find I am only a stone's throw (Indiana) from the site of the largest Capri Gathering in Christendom (or at least the USA).  We had 35 cars last year and close to that this year.

I've owned a few cars myself.  I don't actually have committment issues, but I bought my first back in '76 (a '66 Triumph TR4A-IRS).  Currently I have a '93 Straosphere Blue NA with K&N, 2.25" exhaust, steel 4-2-1 header, high flow cat, Flowmaster Delta muffler and Pacesetter Monza exhaust tips.  Also has Firestone Firehawk Indys (205/55 R15) on American Racing "Estrella" wheels and some other stuff.

Next step is to open the front with CAI, but I work too much, work on my house too much and play music.  I'll get to it eventually.  The next Capri will be turbo, but this one only has 67,000, so I think I'll end up keeping both.  Did I mention the LeBaron is for sale?

Hey Mark-
Are you going to make it Rocket's little shindig?  I't be great to have you in the caravan! You'd just have to drive in front of me the whole way - I love the way those tips sound on your car!!

my last GVR4 only had 82k miles on it and I felt bad modding it. Sold it due to the fact I dropped waaaaay to much into it in a matter of 60 days or so.

It was reeeeal quick thouh. I just didnt want to have so much into a car I was going to abuse/drive.

Hope you find a XR2 soon. These things are fun to drive in turbo form. Cant speak for the n/a but can only guess the 32hp lost cant help.

This forum is WAY more active in the last year or so than it has been ever before, I used to come on and find only a few new posts a week, now there are better than 10 new posts a day! Thats comparatively very active!

Good to see everyone rallying together to support each other.

And mark yes Rocket's Shindig is October 3rd. I hope to have a final itinerary for everyone this week.
