Coolant Hose Question
« on: May 09, 2015, 12:45:31 PM »

Hello, whilst flushing the coolant on my recently-acquired '94 Capri, I noticed that the hose coming out of the coolant reservoir cap (the one headed towards the rear, not the radiator) wasn't connected to anything! Can someone please give me some clarification?

That's ok, nothing is wrong with it.  It's not supposed to connect to anything.  If the reservoir overflows, the coolant goes out the tube and dribbles onto the ground.  Just push the tube so it's facing down toward the ground.

Awesome, thanks for letting me know! So should I refill the radiator first, and then the reservoir?

Yes.  Or refill the radiator, run it to temperature, then check the level in the overflow reservoir.
