That pic was just a mockup, but I'm going to have to cut/ weld the linkage on the motor to get it to stay like that

^^ thats one of the reasons why I won't use one of those. Motors, especially older ones like in our cars, tend to operate at different speeds. Also, I can't rely on that to properly aim my headlights. Cool for just a sleepy eye mod, but I'm actually relying on accurate and repeatable aim. The light also has to go through a full up/down cycle, which I can't have either.
My buddy had a simple momentary pushbutton on his ford Probe. worked okay but you have to time it just right.
Simple modification of the linkage is all I need.

New custom fiberglass console wrapped in pleather to hide the AWD shifer
Stock console wouldn't fit anymore. Still have a shift boot & ring in the works. Thoughts?

The headlights look way awesome!
What does the shifter look like exposed without the boot? Maybe you can go for a brushed aluminium gated look like ones you find in Lambo's and ferrari's.
Rocket, your ingenuity knows no bounds!
