In order to use the Kia’s alternator’s stock serpentine pulley, you would also need the Kia’s crank and water pump pulleys too.
I didn’t find the kia’s pulley system to be much better due to the fact they didn’t use any auto tensioning unit and this required the belt needing adjustment more often.

When I junked my wife’s 01 Sehpia, I only took a few things off it since she already broke the tranny and the brakes/suspension were similar to the 2g Probe/mx6’s .
I only took the alternator because I had bought and installed it only a year prior and found the mounting points and electrical are just like the Mitsubishi ones. It’s still like new and I think it would make a nice backup /upgrade if my original 85A ever fails.

Are the harmonic balancers interchangeable?

Also, my parts capri had the larger older alternator with the fan disk, so score! And the wiring color coding remains w/b for the instrument cluster, and the w/r for the input or whatever. hooray!

I know the 98+ Kia Sephia won’t work, it’s crank pulley mounts with 5 bolts.

If I was trying to find a duel serpentine belt crank pulley that might bolt on, I would look at:
Mazda MX3 (4 cylinder), 94+ miata, protege, or the 94-97 Kia Sephia

A lot, if not the majority of 91s came with the larger alternator.

Well, time to warranty the damn alternator! I've only had it on since March, and it already failed. Unless there is an alternator fuse or something.
