I'm back!
« on: February 06, 2011, 06:22:00 AM »

After finding my old log in information on one of my old computers and getting tired of the ramblings and attacks on the Yahoo group. There were less than 900 of us here when I left. Wow, a lot more have joined since then!

Are the gauge pods that mount on the windshield pillar still around?

They sure think of you as a Capri God over there. Lol! I was pretty much told that I was a jerk for calling someone out for using butyl to install a windshield. When I said that butyl had not been used since unibodies started using the lateral strength of the glass structurally,I was told I was wrong because when they took out the old glass, it had been held in with butyl so it must be okay. I have over 30 years as a structural (frame) technician and a state-certified drive-line mechanic PLUS I was an I-CAR instructor for their CR-2000 course so MAYBE I might have a clue?
