I'm currently in talks with a company that is willing to put a Capri/323 B6T MegaSquirt kit together, pre-programmed for your setup.  Of course the final tuning will have to be done by you or a shop in your town.  I'm trying to source the ECU connectors for them to make a couple.

First question is:  Is anybody interested in such a product?
Second question:  What would you be willing to spend?
Third question:  Does anybody have any ideas where the ECU connectors could be sources?  Cars that share the same connector maybe?

Russ, I'm going to defintely find out.  I would guess a parts car harness would be fine, especially to get a prototype setup.

Also I don't have price details yet, but I would guess your range is pretty close Russ.  Probably would be $450-$600, which for a completely tunable standalone, that's super cheap.  But this isn't set in stone, only my speculations.

as all projects put on in these forums... there's massive interest, but little money, and few people willing to spend said money.

on a related note: i'm really interested, and the project is something that should be pursued. But im super poor right now and all my money (what little i have) needs to go into making a capri that's reliable for myself.

the majority of the money received from selling these will be from the 323 guys, but there could be around a dozen or so sales from the capri side (atleast on this forum)

a pre-done MS system would be a great offering next to the rocketchip. the MS system being the more expensive and more customizable option for the real power enthusiast. so long as the ms system can handle a capri with a turbocharger AND a supercharger AND NOx all in the same car.

Thats exactly what I want, and I would expect at least an extra $100 for someone to assemble it and make sure it works. I dont have that kinda money right now but I would definitely pay it. I dont have the confidence in myself to put those PCBs together.

Those unassembled kits come with the plug already I think.

DIYAutoTune's got the MSPnP out...many posts about it, but noone I know of is running it.

Has the Nippon Denso 52pin connector that fits our harnesses, it was used on many cars including mazdas, mitsu's, toyotas...

Still need the plugs wired to the MS itself on the internal breakout boards though

All the soldering and stuff is what I would want someone else to take care of. Just deliver me a nice little black box that I can plug into my harness and a laptop and have at it.

Exactly Hazard.  I think most of us(Capri owners), unlike the 323 crowd would rather buy it ready to go.  There is obvious exceptions like Rocket and Russ that go above and beyond normal to modify this great cars.

The Capri is fun to drive even stock.

Yea Josh, I fall under that category too, I just think we are the exception.  However, even I would be interested in something like this.  I'm hoping the cost will be reasonable.  It's a company that already has a project GTX they have successfully done this with.
