Hi All it's been a while since My last post. I had talked about putting a 91 XR2 engine in my 92 n/a. I backed off cause money got tight but it's getting better. I just picked up a nice 91 XR2 with 80k miles and a Blown Head gasket, It's black /gold metal flake and matching hard top it's a beautiful car in great shape other than the head... I drained the oil in the crank case and it had a bit of antifreeze in it. I flushed it out put fresh oil in it and ran it for a couple minutes and it ran good but definitely bubbled up into the radiator. I've started taking it apart and want to do my best to put it back together better than new. I have some money to put into it but still have a budget. This morning I ordered a Cometic MLS Headgasket with ARP Head Studs I hope that's a good start. But I need to find out how or what to do on the rest. checking the turbo etc.. I have found the timing belt cover needs to be replaced (I do have a spare 91 XR2 but that part is broke also) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks..
