Depends on if you have issues with that nut!    Also, a lot of times the bolt that goes thru the rear trailing arm gets rusted into the bushing and that can be a bear, too. Once you get the strut out, compress the spring and everything, you should be done in about an hour. That's my experience, anyway.

Yep...Once you get the hang of it, it could be faster. I really didn't want to rush it after hearing all the horror stories about spring compressors!

Installed the rear 'cheap' springs. Second spring was somewhat easier (to install).  I'm waiting for front pair of struts, which I have order thru Ebay.  These 'cheap' lowering springs only lowered the rear by about 3/4-7/8".  I dont think it was worth the one day of work.  Maybe, when the front is complete or when car is driver more, it might settle lower. thanks again.

It will settle a bit with driving, also the drops are advertised from a "factory" stance. The springs you removed were probably not at OEM height to begin with due to normal wear.

I installed the rear today, and it looks sweet.  Going to do the fronts tomorrow.

I was able to install them without using a spring compressor.

I remove the center nut, and then disconnected the strut from the suspension, after raising to jackstands, and then raised the car until I could get the old springs out. Then put the new springs on reconnected the strut, and slowly lowered the car and aligned the top of the strut with the mount.

Saved a lot of time.

Installed the fronts yesterday, and I like the stance.  I haven't driven it much, but they feel good.

I also found out that these springs are very old inventory and that is why they were so cheap.  The springs are manufactured by BellTech.

I just popped on a set of these!  Do I need to order shorter struts or can I use OEM?

OEM will work, it's not a drastic drop. Also, there is not a "shorter" strut available

I just installed my front 'cheap springs' with new 'KYB' struts.  The 'fronts' were a lot easier (to install)than the rear. I would like to thank previous posts on wheel and tire sizes.  That information was helpful.  I bought a set of 205/40/17, rims & tires from CL for $200.(I had the original 14" alum).  BTW, I had 'popping noise' from front.  Most of the noise has been eliminated by new strut upper mounts.  I am really pleased with the new aggressive look and ride.  thank you
