Title: 1989 SA turbo headlights 'winking'
Post by: dutchkid91 on December 21, 2015, 06:49:53 PM
Hey guys. I have a SA Capri turbo and the headlights wernt popping up, found that the module had been bypassed. I presumed the module was stuffed. Got a new module plugged it back in and now the headlights go up and down and stop wherever they want when the lights are turned on. It seems as if they arent synchronised. Have pulled apart the headlight motors and cleaned the gunk and reassembled. And have disconnected headlights from motors and turned them on to open than reconnected the lights but they still dont work properly. Any ideas guys in at my wits end. Thanks

Do the headlights act properly when the pop-up switch is used in the console?
Headlights not popping up right is almost always dirty cams.  They must shine like new when cleaned, including those little wiper contacts.  Don't used a polishing chemical, just fine steel wool and some lubricant like white grease.
