Title: 88-89 Tracer-- Some stuff will fit Capri?
Post by: ElwoodRacing 91XR2 on June 20, 2007, 10:35:00 AM
I had a 1988 Tracer and I swear it had the same HVAC
head unit and coolant over flow bottle.  Am I right and what else can be salvaged off the egg shaped Tracers.  BTW-  My mom bought the tracer new in 1988, she gave it to me at 200k, and we put almost 300k on it before it died.  The clutch was original but weak, then one cold winter day the cam-shaft broke.  Good bye Tracer.

Yes the 88 Tracer is a BF chassis so most of the suspension components will interchange. The engine should be a 1.6 SOHC which is a more basic model of our engine, but comes from the same origins.
