Radiator issue
« on: December 17, 2022, 11:27:14 AM »

The other day while I was driving I heard a pop sound and normally I would just turn up the music and hope for the best 😅 but I couldn’t because my radiator seemed to have blown? My car steamed very badly even after I parked. It didn’t really smell bad I knew it was coolant leaking. I looked into it and I did see to be really any issue with the radiator itself but the second I put coolant in the car it would fall straight out. So I am looking in to buying a new radiator without paying the $2,999 ebay is selling them for. Does anyone know a radiator that will fit my 91 XR2?

Are you sure it’s leaking from the radiator?  Mine did the same thing when the water pump shat itself.

or hose popped, or popped off. regardless, recommend changing them all.

The radiator isn't too hard to swap. Done it twice. worst part is the bolts holding the fan on probably so rusted they snap...
