Twin turbos
« on: December 07, 2010, 02:06:00 PM »

Has anyone ever tried, or done twin turbo's on the b6t?? I already have a built VJ11/13 hybrid and a decent vj 14 that just would need an upgrade. I am already going to have a custom header made, why not build one that will support twin turbos??? Matt: can the rocket chip handle twins??? shit, it would push the same aproxx CFM's that a large t3/t4 would push???

I dont think I would trust the chip to handle twin turbos.

And I dont think so - the VJ14 flows ~200 cfm. So figure 400 cfm... the 16T wheel upgrade for the tbird turbo flows 425cfm, and that's considered a "small" T3 turbo. Two VJ14's won't even outflow the largest bolt-on turbo.

The Mitsubishi 14b turbo flows 405cfm, IIRC... and thats one of the smaller mistu turbos.

"t3/t4" is a very generic term, some of them can flow over 800cfm...

Twin turbo would be unique, but if you want power and efficiency and stick with a single turbo-

I have a Tbird compressor housing and wheel if you are interested in shoving some air into your B6T.
