Smoke..and oil
« on: April 09, 2011, 05:52:00 PM »

Hi guys, I've got a 94NA auto that has sat for a while, it was nice today so I charged the battery and started it up, lots of white(ish) smoke on startup.  It started smoking a little last year on start up, but this was worse than normal.  I'm thinking head gasket as it overheated a few seasons back and I've only dirven it a few hundred miles in the past 3 years.  Anyway, when I pulled the spark plugs, plug #1 was covered in oil so now what?  if it was valves wouldn't the smoke be grey or blue?

Had the same problem with a dodge I had a while back, ended up being the head gasket even though the smoke was white. Don't know if this helps but figured I'd let ya know
