ok so i bort a few gauges and i ran into a little hitch, i am unable to find two wires nessesary to make the dam things work, as its an electrial gauge i need the ignition switch wire(i think its yellow one??) and also the the dimmer power wire or dash circut wires in order for my back light in the gauge to turn on. If any one knows the location and colours of these wires it would be a great help.

An easy source for the dimmer light is the back of any of the illuminated switches, and I think I used a tap into the fusebox for my ignition switched stuff

you just need any source that is 12v when key is on. there are plenty of them car stereo, fog light switch, defog swith is sitting there empty and easy to pin into. use a meter and find a 12v source with the key on. then turn it off. if the 12v goes away then you are good to go. most 12v signals are thicker black wires. sometimes with red lines on the car side.

when it comes to gauges and stereos yellow wires are normally battery signals and red ones are switched

hope this helps
