On-board Tool Kit contents
« on: September 22, 2020, 05:19:53 PM »

Gentlemen,

What do you all carry in your Capri’s trunk for on-the-road fixes?
I mean, a small socket/wrench set is probably a given, but what other tools/spare bits do you like to have handy at all times?

Cheers
James

I carry all the usual (jumper cables, sockets, wrenches, various other tools) as well as a spare ICM. My Capri came broken with one, and I heard they break often, leaving you stranded, so I keep a spare just in case...

2 spare alternator belts, and the tools to change it are a must!

I also throw in a spare alternator and distributor in the trunk, particularly for when I am traveling partway across the country to the mid-america meet.
Can't go into a parts store and get these off the shelf, they have to be ordered.

Usual flat tire tools. Spare ICM. Clutch cable.

And the most important of all: A credit card in my wallet.

Yeah, credit card and cell phone are the most important tools you can have.
