What brand, rating, and what type (synthetic/petroleum based)

And your reasons for using them.

I use Royal Purple 5W/30.

I used to run Mobil1 full synthetic 5W-30

Now I run whatever I can afford, usually cheap budget oils. But I keep it clean. I have been running 5w30 in colder weather and 10w30 in the summer.

I also run a larger filter, #7317, it's about 1/3rd longer and fits just fine. Has the correct valving in it as well. The 6607 is tiny.

Mobil 1 0W-30 full synthetic. I get it free at work. I get a little bit of lifter noise but its not terrible.

I think 0 weight is far too thin for the engine, does anyone have the scan for the chart under the hood?

Wait sorry, just double checked. We carry the 0 weight in bottles only. I use the pump and thats 5w-30 full synthetic.

can 5W30 full-synthetic oil also be used in n/a Capri's? because i want to change the oil of my Capri soon, including oil filter (if i can get one). reason: i don't know when the last oil change was. most likely last year, just before delivery to the last owner.

Yes you can use full-synthetic oil if you want. You should have no problem finding a filter, it's a very common one used on many small 4-cylinder engines.

I use Royal Purple 10w30 or 15w40 and it works great
I prefer 10w40 but its hard to find.
