Anyone know if the 1994 capri ac compressor (r134a) is a direct replacement for any of the earlier years, or do things not line up (bolts, pulley, etc)?

I "think" it's the same. I've never tried to install one, but I've removed quite a few and they appear to be the same to me
-
IIRC the 94 compressor is completely different, it is designed for R134a. I don't know if they can interchange, my guess would be probably not though
-
you need all the lines to go with it or at least get some made.
-
I think what he is asking, is can you put the 94 A/C system in a 91-93 car, and have everything line up right, with no mods.
My answer is still "I believe so"

He's asking if the compressor in a 91-93 can be replaced with one from a 94. I don't think it can directly
-
You'd have to swap out all the lines from a 94, as well, correct?
-
yes. need a new compressor since I can't find a cheap clutch. system already converted to r134a, wondering if I should just get a 94 compressor. many sites list them as 91-94 and wondering if that was correct.
-
I have a 94 compressor here if you wanted to give it a shot......

He will need the compressor & lines in the engine bay if using the 94 parts
-
What's different about the lines? bends, types of flair, what?
-
The connection at the compressor & the servicing ports are different.
if you got the 91-93 compressor then you just need to convert the fittings for the R134
