its the best way to go. all i did was cover the windsheild with newspaper and then draped drop cloths over the door and drop cloths on the floor. hope things go smooth for you when painting.

i plan on doing it when i swap over the black carpet...so then i dont need to worry about it when i do it..

things go right i might have it done in a few weeks..i almost got the other door panel done

My seats are 3A Racing and are basically the same as yours... with blk. harnesses... here are some pics of my little JL w3 10" sub and the amp in the trunk too...    Joe...

looks good ... my optima dry cell will not be in a box like that and it will be in a different place but basically i am doing what you did in the trunk in my back seat. seemed like the best place to do it because it will be hidden in my wooden box

yes, its the cars fuse.. incase thares a short in the engine compartment or chassis..i dont need a fire... its a 100amp blade fuse... the fuse in the power wire is the amplifiers fuse its a 60amp cyliner fuse from rockford fosgate..

i used the spare mounting bracket as a ground point...
i used to use 80 amp cylinder fuses for the car... but in the winter when it takes a few cranks it will pop the 80amp ones...

y put the fuse inline with the ground???

well thares already alot of resistance from the battery to the starter..beings thares 8ft of cable between the two.... putting a fuse even a big one in makes for too much resistance... it dosent really matter where the fuse is.. if it shorts, the point of most resistance is gonna have a meltdown...  ive accidently touched a ratchet across the batt.terminal in the engine compartment a couple times and it pops the fuse every time....

 really to be racecar legal, i should have a solinoid inline from the batt. to the starter and alternator.. so that its not live all the time...

i am a electrician and never seen a fuse on a ground side of a circuit ever...they are always on the positive side

ok update... my exhaust manifold , my exhaust housing for turbo , intake manifold is getting sand blasted this weekend then i will be smoothing out the ports on them of pure bordem

Part of the engine put back together !!! i think it turned out fantastic !!!

 
here is the exhaust manifodl right after i painted it .... it looked orange but i still had to cure it in the oven ... dont tell my mom she wasnt home for that :-/

 
After cooking in the oven ... darkened up to the right color ... would have liked a little bit darker but VHT Flame-Proof 2000 degree paint didnt have many colors to choose....
I will have more pictures up later tonight of more work done picture not taken.
