Here is my 91 Capri.. Got her off Craigslist for $1000. I put a new clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, release bearing, axles, rear main seal, tranny seals, cone air filter w/ adaptor plate, 17" rims, new top, timing belt, water pump, idler, tensioner, plugs, wires, cap & rotor, CD player, interior kit, front struts, tie rods, ball joints, and sway bar bushings.. I think that's it.. LOL.. Did it all myself in my driveway.. Timing belt & suspension was a breeze.. Clutch... OUCH!!! Never done a harder one in all my years of wrenching!! Anyway, here's the pics.. Thank you Gus. It seems you are the man around here.. LOL.. Yeah, I have been wrenching on cars since I was 13 (1993), so I definately know what I'm doing.. These capris' are pretty simple, with the exception of pulling an auto or manual tranny.. I've done both.. I'd be glad to help in any way I can, and hope to attend next years show.. I am selling my capri tomorrow for $2K and buying an XR2 so I can step up with you guys.. LOL.. Always wanted one.. Anyway, thanks for the welcome, and I've spent hours reading threads on here to get as much info as I can on thse little cars.. Hope I can be of some assistance!

Hey Randy!  If you're into a little performance then you did the right thing. You've your nice Capri to someone who we hope will love her and you're gonna step up to something that might get you into trouble. Have fun. I did keep the rims, although I have them for sale on oklahomacity craigslsit for $400.. They are pretty nice.. I have found a coupe XR2s on CL. One in Ohio for $900 needing a CV axle (45 min job tops), and one in MO for $900 needing an alternator.. I'm going to call about both tomorrow and try to head out later this week or early next week.. Trying to keep it at $1000 - $1400 so I have a few extra $$$s to spend on it..

Thanks Gus. I'm leaning towards the one in Kansas City, MO.. It has a newer top, new tires, regular oil changes.. Just needs an alternator.. Only draw back is it's pushing 200k mi.. But it is 350 miles away. Compared to driving to Columbus, OH.. LOL.. I'm going to call him / her in the morning to get more info on timing belt / clutch replacements, and the body / paint condition.. I'll let you all know.. I'm ready to head out tomorrow afternoon..
