i hate to buy racing seats for this car because I would rather keep it as original as possible, is there any site that sells a reasonably priced decent seat cover that actually fits or to reupholster the seats any input would be great thanks

There was a company on eBay selling replacement seat skins, but I don't know of anyone who has purchased them. Their photos were actual Capri seats, though.

I've seen a lot of people go to auto upholstery shops & get custom work done, some of it was really incredible work. Have you looked around locally at all?

You can get racing seats, they're not too hard to install. The need a bit of work to get them to fit the stock sliders

Odds are the insides of your seats are falling apart too. Look on the floor if you see brownish stuff that is the foam in the seats rotting and falling out. So far every capri I have seen here in AZ has had this. Maybe it is the heat here but something to look at. If it is the case you will need more work then just the covers.

Here is what $300 bucks can get you. 2 New racing seats (there are from checkers auto store) & universal sliders. I just bolted the sliders on the cross beams under the seat and the fit was perfect.

Cheaper for sure, I found mine on craigslist for $200 with the sliders.

Best price I could get for 1 seat to be redone was 300 with new padding. That made it an easy choice for me..

You can get the universal sliders on ebay for like 30-40

Those are nice but how was it in the sumer gostlrs. Since were state neighbors temps get really high here. My seats are the same and i have seen those at oreilly's. But the heat here make me think twice on buying them
