Clutch/Flywheel hitting on something
« on: March 30, 2010, 01:01:00 PM »

New clutch and resurfaced flywheel. I've got everything back together and hit the starter. It turns over but is clunking. I turn it over with a wrench and every 90 degrees or so something hits in the upper bell housing. If I push really hard I can get past it, I know, not a good thing to do.

Any ideas before I rip it all back out of the car or send the whole thing to "M&K Metals"?

Is one of your pressure plate bolts sticking out? I'm not really sure what else would cause it

Everything was torqued...looks like ill be pulling it out. Something in there will be shiny. It'll probably end up being something incredibly dumb...

wow...never seen that before. Looks like the pressure plate is out of tolerance. Simple fix?

Is this the only part making contact? What kind of pressure plate?
