first and foremost.. you will not make 200whp with a t-bird turbo...or will you make 240 tq with anything less than a big 16g mitsu...

second, the stocker wont hold more than 160hp if that....

i personally run an ACT, sprung, full face disc and a centerforce 2 pressure plate...

this seems to hold my 220hp just fine...

greg, keep in mind this is a 1.6 litre engine... it will never make more TQ than horsepower...
EVER... its not possible.... to make 240 tq your talkin almost 300whp man!!!

it would be nice to find a 6 puck sprung disc for these cars but I have yet to find one.

I ran a 6 puck sprung on a stock pressure plate on my turbo saturn and loved it. you have to get use to it at first but it is streetable for daily driver use.

I use a Zoom 6 puck sprung Kevlar clutch disc from an 88 RX7 non turbo. Same size and spline count as the B6t clutch. It's a bit noisy with the aluminum flywheel but it grips like a SOB.

So as a source any RX7 disc should work.

Joe,

Tbird turbo is capable of making 200hp. Probe guys hit that mark all the time with them. I'm told it can actually support just under 300 crank HP. Also- just because those vehicles use the same clutch disk does not mean they use the same throwout and pilot bearings. Keep that in mind.

I'd recommend ACT - I'm running a Z62-HDSS (heavy duty pressure plate, super-street disk) It holds up just fine to my BPT.

The Miata clutch will work if you use a Miata flywheel - but Miata flywheels are only 200mm in diameter I think - and you'll need a MUCH stronger pressure plate to get the same hp/tq ratings.
