Mine does a little on decel between 2k and 1k, and I think its because the flange where the exhaust meets the cat has rusted away in a major way. It had me thinking, has anyone gotten their capri to backfire on purpose? Just a fun question
-
I'd imagine that opening up the exhaust and getting around to buying a rocketchip would increase my chances

The Capri doesn't really have a burble. The ECU actually completely cuts the fuel on decel. It reinstates a small amount of fuel as the RPMS drop past 2500 rpm so you'll get a little there.
Rocketchip does not change any of that.
Newer cars that burble or backfire - it's done on purpose with a special tune that throws fuel & plays with the timing to achieve that effect. The timing is mechanical on the Capri so you'd need a standalone to get what you really want out of it
-
Do they make standalones for the B6T?
-
Plug and play, no. But by virtue almost any standalone will run the B6T
