Title: one big assed radiator
Post by: rcicustoms on September 12, 2009, 07:02:00 PM
well i was changing out my turbos hotside today..
when it fell forward and poked a nice sized hole in my radiator....

after much cussing, i made some phone calls to some parts whore buddies... the best i could come up with was this ginormous racing all aluminum unit, from i would imagine a mustang.. so i told the guy i was going to give it a try since it was my only option...

this is what i came up with...

so whatcha guys think of my gargantuan radiator???
i doubt ill ever overheat again ...and the best thing is its hella lighter than the stock unit was...and it fit with some cutting and some fabrication... man what a long day....Joe

Hey RCI! It's a shame you were forced to do it but in the end you're more than likely better-off. It looks good. Iwas gonna explore some alum honda units but maybe I'll look into "Muscrat love" now.  Gus

yea there great in the summer months but wait til this winter.... youll have heat troubles then ..... im running a 180* i bought from zx tuner..  it works good in the summer and i still have heat in the winter.... i was going to put a civic dual core aluminum one in the car, but this works, and i wont overheat again... my car does get quite warm when im pushing it, with the big turbo... so this will solve all issues im guessing....
