Hey guys recently bought my capri xr2
noticed high idle cold 2600-3000 rpm
only cold - warm is 900 is this normal?

ya, it will idle higher when cold then when it warms up it goes down...at least mine does the same

Its the auto choke, 3000rpm is a bit high but aslong as it eventually stabalises at 900rpm it should be ok.
Hahaha... I can imagine the trouble you'd have to go through when backing out of your drive way. It would be like hard launching everytime you release the clutch!

hey Yen, while we are on this topic, is there any way we can get rid of this "auto-choke" and have it so the car starts normaly at 800-900RPM and stay there... I find it quite annoying also... or if anybody can post a thread on how to do it.
