I'm a huge fan of redline fluids for everything but the oil.

Service manual calls for ATF. I'm running 80w90 Valvoline gear oil in my tranny, a lot of people say its too thick but I haven't had a problem with it yet.

If you do some research on manual transmission fluids you should be able to find something that would be ideal. I havent got to that point yet.

Hey Gost!  I'm running 80/90 in the two cars I drive regularly. I'm in just a tad cooler climate than you. Also I run 20/40 or 20/50 in the non-winter months in the motor.  Gus

Thanks Gus.

So really is the tranny oil capacity 3.4 quarts? That seems to be a lot of oil for this little car.
