couple screws in wheel well
remove the center trim below the mercury emblem
remove the 3 plugs under the center trim.
remove all screws under it
now the tricky part. remove the corner lenses
you will see a strip there. under that is 3 nuts you need to looses or remove. when you do that the bar will become loose and then the bumper will pull out. i just removed them and the bar and when i put the bumper back on i used those plastic plugs they use on the interior. you will need to reach way up and under and be in some neat positions to get them off. they are 12mm i think.
its off.
you will need to get a 3in hole saw as well to drill the fire wall.
