Is there an easy way to tell if the whether the transmission or is clutch is bad?

I was driving home, all seemed well, I came to a stop sign.  When attempting to pull away from the stop sign, the car barely moves.  The shift linkage is good, it appears to be going into the gears, but it doesn't engage.  It is like I still have the clutch depressed, but I do not.

I replaced and bled the slave clutch cylinder, and am going to rebuild the master clutch cylinder.

Any ideas on an easy way to diagnose it?

its the clutch. same thing happen to me about 3 yrs ago i would shift to 1st and when trying to accelerate it would barely move like if i had the clutch pressed

Thanks mcanchola2, I was thinking along those lines, and picked up a clutch, Saturday morning, to install.

Do both drive shaft have to come out to replace the clutch?

Are you removing the engine? trans? There's a couple ways to tackle it. The easiest way for me has always been pull engine + trans out the top and then replace the clutch outside the vehicle. I did a clutch once by dropping the transmission, it was way more work than it was worth IMO

No, I hadn't planned to take the whole engine and trans out, don't have the equipment to pull approach off.

How long did it take dropping the trans?

I am having the clutch replaced, and should be getting the car back today.  Then new tires and inspection.
