I'm new to turbo cars, got the basics done. But really have never worked on em before, I want to got 2 1/4" exhaust or is that a little to big for this motor? And also just wondering if I can start fabbing the exhaust now or do I need a different manifold or somethin? Thanks :D

I have a 2 1/2" exhaust on the Super Roo. Existing manifold worked fine.
Here are a couple of links to YouTube videos, showing the car at idle, and under load.

As well as the 2 1/2" pipe, the car has a Magnaflow muffler and duel Magnaflow tips. The cat has been removed!
Since Rocketman swapped my cams last week with the Webs, the cars sound has become much deeper! I will re-record some video after the t-bird turbo goes on, as that will change the sound even more.
I'm really starting to love this car again!

Awesome, thanks :D thats what I was planning on eventually doing was putting some cams in. That'll be alot further down the road after I get a new top and a new passenger side door haha. Damn and 2 1/2" on this little thing? thats as big as my big block 455!

Turbos love big exhaust. You cant go too big with a turbo. 2.5" is pretty much maxed out for our motors. Future-proof if you will. 2.25" is fine for a stock motor if you dont plan on doing much.

Looks like I'm headed with 2.5" then, thanks (http://smile.gif)

I had 2.25" and it worked awesome, I now have 2.5" mandrel bent system I made myself absolutely love it.
2.5 is harder to fit over the rear axle but it can be done
