WTB Strut bar
« on: April 10, 2011, 12:07:00 AM »

Hey folks. I am looking for a strut bar for my '91 XR2. I know Pat has them at MidCo, but I was hoping someone has a good used one for less $$$. If you've got one laying around, please let me know.

Thanks!

Tony, if you can find a cheap used one - go for it. I will say, I'm not really much of a fan of Midco's bars. They're flimsy. The corksport GTX bar can be modified to fit, and its super strong - but they're NLA unfortunately.

I will be making RocketBrace strut bars in the near future if you can hold off - I'm designing the brackets as we speak.

Thanks Matt. I'll keep looking for a good used one to use in the interim. I, of course, would much prefer a Rocketman original!

Hey Matt! Any progress on those strut bars? I haven't been able to find a used one. If yours aren't going to be ready for awhile, any other suggestions on where to get a good one?

LOL, I know. Mr. Rocketman said he wasn't a big fan of "Midco's" bars, so I was looking for an alternative.

Due to recent developments I may be working with Midco to make a hybrid of sorts, adressing the problems with the original bar

Hmmm, wonder what those developments are? LOL In that case, I'll wait for further information before I purchase one.
