rough idle when warm
« on: April 26, 2013, 06:00:00 AM »

When i start the car while its warm i often, but not always, have a problem of a lower and rough idle before i start driving. Ive seen it almost stall from it. If i drive for a minute the idle is just fine after that. It is only when i first start my car while the engine is warm. No other problems. Does anyone know why this could be happening? It happened with another capri i had also.

TPS
Idle air control valve (Above the Alt)

Two things I can think of, Try pulling the codes & see if anything comes up.

If it does, clear them & drive it for another week or so (at least 50+ miles) and re-pull the codes to see if they were old or current faults.

Check the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator, perhaps the solenoid it goes to is bad? The solenoid is used to raise fuel pressure on hot starts to flush out boiling fuel quicker
