Really need help!!!
« on: August 31, 2010, 07:02:00 AM »

So I picked up my car today.Smoked a lot atfirst, but would boost up to 7-8lbs,I have the boost turned down. On the way home it stopped boosting at all,not just the gauge, its slow! I think he has something hooked up wrong,I hope I haven't blown my just rebuilt turbo.Any ideas.I am taking it back to him in the A.M.. Could he have the boost control hose hooked up wrong,he put it on the waste gate actuator and blocked of the other side, where the short hose went to from the waste gate actuator.Help please Rocky.

Can you get any pictures of the boost controller lines?

Where did you have the turbo rebuilt?

Some smoking will be normal as its burning off any residual oil in the system.

Thanks guys. I took the car back to the shop. Like I said it boosted fine for a few miles. Now when I try to boost there is a too much air kind of sound and no boost. If I can I will get some pics of it.Rocky

I sure hope so Rocketman! It really doesn't smoke much after just 10 miles or so.If I get this thing going right I will only do the mods I can do and understand.Rocky
