Hey Manny! If you're willing to go through the trouble of a transplant, why not do a BPT. Just a bp doesn't give much horsepower gain over a b6t. Are you still needing that mirror?  Gus

A BPT would be a lot for the tranny to handle. I suggested a BP because they're wonderful torquey motors compared to the B6T with a much broader powerband, and they're easy to find in good shape

I was just interested in what options i had for a later project.as for the mirror i don't need it now im not driving my car now i was doing the lambo doors on it have it all apart,and cant spend no money on it for now.have to go out of town fo a funeral

but i am workin on and loving every minute of my capri... becuase i cant afford a similar car...
for me, its the 1991 Ferrari Mondial T
which really looks alot like the capris....

but to tell ya the truth at $6,000 invested and lots of TLC ive come to a decision.... since the
ferrari, in 91, ran a 13.8 standing 1/4 out of the box.... and the last time i was at the drag strip. i ran a 13.8 in my capri... i think im mimicking the sensation pretty well for the money....LOL....Joe

wow, you take the ass end of that elan, and mate it to the front clip of the ferrari mondial and you just about have a capri huh...... no doubt european styling of the day huh guys....

and whoever said capris are ugly cars ....
well they must have had a mullet and a 88 camaro huh....
 thares no wonder they sold the crap out of them in austrailia... it was a damn ferralotus, with good gas mileage and a japanese drivetrain damn ford screwed up not letting that one run for a few more years......
