AC not kicking on. Where is the AC Relay
« on: April 22, 2012, 11:17:00 AM »

The AC worked great two years ago. Last summer it wouldn't kick on. I have checked all the fuses and they are good. I have looked through the diagrams and cannot find where the AC relay is. I have checked for voltage at the AC compressor and it is zero.

It would be very helpful if someone could tell me where the AC relay is or if they have any other suggestions why my AC might not be turning on.

Thanks
Georelle

There is an AC fuse in the engine bay fuse box.

If there is no or insufficient pressure in the system the AC will not kick on.

I'd check to see if there is enough refrigerant in the system for it to operate before going any further

Quick FYI update. In the process of checking all connections I found the pressure sensor was unplugged
AC works great now. I don't us it much but it nice when I need it.
I thought it would be something like this since the AC worked so well the last time I used it.
Happy to find an simple no cost repair for a change.
