It was great seeing you & Diane! Enjoyed seeing both your cars.

Yeah, like I said I've only ever seen two capri that did not come with AC from the factory, previously I had thought it was standard on every Capri. They seem to be few & far between

We have seen 3 Capri's over the years without factory air....  one which was of our own fleet a few years ago..  Rick stated of the ones we have seen, they all had the standard basic steel wheels...very basic Capri...  all had evaporator core under dash but was capped off from factory (option available for dealer air installation).

So there are a few out there with NO Factory air...

I saw one in the late 90's here in Sterling Illinois. I seem to remember it had a simple ball shift knob and more bland steering wheel. But I remember the steel 13" wheels.Rocky

I looked under my dash on my 93 AC delete there is no evaporator core an had 14"geometrics wheels on like Russ's. Matt I'll let you know about the rotors size, I kown its great for getting the oil filter from above, engine bay less cluttered an probley 150 lb. lighter. John

An no Matt those rotor knuckel assemblys I bought off you is for the wifes XR. Do you think she would be pissed if I put them on my 93na if I have the smaller rotors? lol John

The stock AC system, as far the engine components - only weigh in around 40-60lbs, definitely not anywhere near 150lbs. The evap core is not immediately visible under the dash, pull one of the firewall plugs and see if there's a fitting in there.

Lol, replace her knuckles and then at your leisure replace those broken studs, or bring to a shop once they're off the car to have it done... then you have a nice upgrade for your NA if it does have the small rotors!
