Had a great time at the outing.  Enjoyed seeing
all the cars and meeting some of the people who's names you see all the time here.  Just a great day and even the four 19 year kids I brought along enjoyed themselves very much and want to know if I will let them come with me next year.  The boys are also talking about what they need to do to my 94 XR2 to make it go faster.
Wish it was someone elses money they were going to spend.
Anyway thanks Bob for a wonderful, memerable day.

I will be posting the last few t-shirts on Ebay in a few days to help offset some costs.  Bid high, bid often

Thursday a friend with lukemia died. Friday another friend had a blood clot in his brain and died.  Friday my neighbors put their beloved dog to sleep.  Friday I found out that the raffle tickets I ordered didn't get done, and found out that the 5 volenteers I was expecting, would not be there.

Saturday I was running just a bit late and didn't get to the track until 9:00am  There were five cars already there.  After unloading the cars we started to get everyone registered.  The cars started pouring in.  33 in all.  I was busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest, and my friend was even busier.

When we got to the track someone was already on it.  I went and talked to the track owners and got the mess straitened up so track time was cut down.  Apparently the guy who took my reservations, decided not to put it on the calender and they double booked.  Since I had 33 cars, and they had one, we won.

Everyone seemed to enjoy just walking around and talking to everyone.  Cory had fastest lap.

The picnic portin of the event went very well I thought, considering most of the parking area I had reserved was taken.

I think logistically we did better this year than last.  There are still a few things that can be ironed out.  We had plenty of food.  I am shocked they voted my car the "ugliest"  MY CAR IS NOT UGLY.  IT WAS THE PRETTIEST ONE THERE!!!!  HA HA

Trophys were given out, and we were amazed no 92's made it to the picnic.  Had even one showed up, they would of come away with a trophy.  So we made the trophy and ribbon door prizes.

I am not sure of the count who went to the drive-in, I think it was low.  People were tired and may have underestimated how long the day would be when they originally thougt about the movie.

6 cars made it to the drive in.... 2 or 3 left after the first movie. I had fun there. Perhaps next year more will show up and we can try to reserve a whole row at the drive in.

Personally i spent alot more money than I expected, but i still had loads of fun. The fun even outweighs the sunburn I got.

It was my birthday, and there was no way in hell I would be caught dead in IL again.

BTW, sorry about all of the deaths... ...seems like you have as much luck with people as I do.

I personally like it.  I enjoy the four seasons.  I am a big fan of winter.  I'm one of those who say's the colder the better.

Spring, the hope of new life.  driving on a nice spring day when the lilacs and flowers are in bloom.  It is a feast for the nose.

Summers the top never goes up.  The sun shines, and the top is down, what a gift.

There is nothing as bee-u-T-ful as fall.  The colors, the smells wraps you in fall's warm embrace as you drive on a sunny day with the top down and the heater on full.

I'll take my four seasons anyday.

Speaking of the Fall, it would be nice to have a mini-gathering in PA in the pocono mountains in the fall when all the leaves are changing... I know of many a scenic route to cruise along with the top down if anybody would be interested in that...

I have a fan next to my bed that's on 24/7. It's been running for nearly 5 years. With just a 5 minute cleaning every month. Hottest night of summer, fan is on. Coldest night of winter, fan is on.

As I missed the gathering in Illinios, I would definately be interested in a fall gathering.  Will be tight with the kids in school but I will make it work somehow
