well gost, kinda, it will look like a 94.. but the handling and steering will be different...
the idea, is to find a clean 94 n/a and pull the 91s b6t and make a 94 xr2 that way...

the 94s really are a different beast...
the same, but different...
i drove a couple peoples cars at the MACG this summer.. (including grants (yuri) car,and a 94 turbo car) and i must say you will immediately notice some refinements in the 94 model year.. the car feels tighter, less rattly...the steering will really get ya, the 94s have a more highway steering, lax turning thing going on.. i can see a 94 car, being much more tame at highway speeds... and the interior is black leather front and rear.. (its sexy).and all the interior panels are black...
there nice cars...

dont get me wrong, i drive a 91 everyday but i think a 94 is a nicer car...Joe..

I've been driving a '94 XR2 for about 3 months and that's after 4 years of driving my '93 NA.  Suspension, handling, tightness of the car in turns, fit and finish, more responsive cruise control, comfort - it's really different.

Not as quick as some of the modified cars of Joe, Russ, Matt and Gost for sure, but relative to the NA, it's pretty sweet.  Although, I still like that clunky, Statosphere Blue NA.

Hey Guys! My post was directed towards Joe, as he stated that he was interested in "that" car. I presently have three '94 XR2s. The white one being my favorite. I would buy this car but the money isn't there at present. And I have no place to put it, being as I have sixteen capris now.  Gus

its too close to xmas right now, but yes, thats the one my wife wants... thank you papa gus!!

personally im looking for a red 94 n/a car to do the reverse of what gost is doing...

i want to put my high comp. beast of a hybrid engine i built.. into the more refined 94 chassis with the xr2s sway bars and all my suspension and brakes into it...

the refined interior is sexy, and the window switches on the center console... dont need leather where my racing seats are going into it. but i would like to find leather back seats just to put back there...

heres my thinking...
last year at the MACG i took home the 91 xr2 modified trophy....
this year, and 2011 too for that matter. the competition is getting fierce.. Rocket is building a 91.. gost is building a 91.. icurun is building a 91  ,,coco customs is building a 91 ... so... im gonna build a 94.. the competition is very thin in the 94 class being that most people owning a 94 do not mod it, due to its value ....especially the xr2 models
so i figure if i swap all my racing equipment over to a 94 ill have by far the most modded 94 capri and a shoe in for the modified 94 trophy

we all know russ (typer) has the 92 class on lockdown..

rocket is looking to redeem himself after his absince from last years MACG (he was working on the gtxr2)and wants his 91 title back...

the 93 class is tiny, 4 cars last year i think... the puff little blue one will prolly take it home again...(i really like that little blue car...what a puff..)

but i cant remember who took home the 94 modded class trophy... i remember it was very lightly modified some rims and some little things done..

so im gonna shake up the house a bit in the 94 class...build one hell of a quick 94 and see how it goes...

Joe -

The '94 modified that took the trophy last time is the red one that took it the year before.  It's mostly a stock XR2.  Good luck with that - I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with.

If I get everything done I want to get done in the next several months, I'll have 2 cars to show and the other one will be stock.  By the way, I don't expect either one to make light speed and I bet your '91 will still be a contender.

yea im not sure what this spring will bring for me.. but im not going to rush it.. i may just show the 91 this summer and work towards the 94 for 2011... but that is my long term goal...

that, and the title of fastest capri, but i think
its going to take a slightly built FS turbo engine to secure that one... 2.0 turbo just has a nice ring to it...LOL

damn a trophy will make you choose what year...  :D

classic!

from what i can read...it says the 94 has better steering/handling, i know the sway bar is different. springs too but we normally change those to lower the car so who cares. i looked up the steering rack and all years use the same pn everywhere i looked.

so how is it possible that using balls on the swaybar makes it "that" much better in steering/handling?

the 94 NA does not have that swaybar...so your whole thought process is out the window!

you would basically have a 94NA converted to a XR2
without the handling of the XR2

so if the swaybar is the difference..i just might have that guy i know hook me up weld some balls on mine or beef this one up...
