Title: Where is the coolant temp sensor on the engine?
Post by: blackhandbeagles on January 22, 2017, 01:44:19 PM
I believe there on three temp sensors on the engine. One is to the gauge in the car, one is the fan relay, and the other has a square connector, two wire outlet. I can't see it anywhere.

Anyone want to help me out here?

Finally found something on it. Under section 3, Emission System Description, underside of the intake manifold.

What kind of sadistic person designed this car? That sensor is pretty much impossible to get to without removing the starter. And, removing the starter also looks like quite a job.

You can blame Mazda for that, anything engine maintenance wise is a pain in the ass. Thats one of the main flaws of FWD IMO, that and its nowhere near as fun as RWD, or AWD.

Easier to get to from the bottom.
