Time to sell the Capri already. It has sat in the garage for 2 weeks and don't think I will be driving it much anymore. Has some decent mods but will be in need of a clutch soon as the one in it will start to slip past 10psi at top end. Other than needing a clutch the car is ready to go. Car has around 136k miles and will drive you anywhere without a issue besides the clutch if you get on it.
Rocketchip - 16psi and 7,200 rev limit
3" intake with f.a.s.t. reducer and vaf adapter
HKS blow off valve
HKS adapter for stock pipe
Blitz ssbc electronic boost controller with high and low settings (10psi low and 15psi high)
Lotek dual gauge pillar pod
autometer -30+20 boost gauge
Inovate wideband kit with red gauge (new and never installed)
also comes with a set of 390cc injectors and the resistor pack is already installed for them. Also comes with a brand new 2.5" flexpipe for the exhaust I never had installed.
Other things have done to it
both outer tie rod ends
front motor mount
both drive belts
distributor cap
ignition rotor
NGK plugs galled at .030
fuel filter
180 thermostat and gasket
idle air control valve
blower motor
windshield washer nozzles
rebuilt driverside headlight motor
driver side foglight
that's all I can think of for now. I will update as I remember.

damn leaving us already...what will be next? back to the DSM family?
-
Nah.
Gonna probably buy another 5.9 Grand Cherokee. If you have never driven one you will want one after you do.
One year only (98) and the fastest suv made till the srt8 came out.
Dsm's are a headache
-
gonna have to disagree about the fastest SUV...
the GMC Typhoon was a 4.3L Turbo with 280HP stock back in 92-93. By far one of the best SUVs out there if your looking for speed. AWD, Mitsubishi TD06 turbo 2 seconds faster in the 0-60 time then the jeep and not to mention...its turbo! I got to drive one that was putting out about 375HP and i just about made me pee my pants...
-
I already knew that was coming. How about the fastest 4 door suv all motor?
I don't like two door anything which is strange considering I bought the Capri.
Just bored with it already so I figure pass it on to someone else who will enjoy it and continue to mod it.

some guy here in lex built up a 98 grand cherokee... he built the motor and tranny and was downtown challenging camaros and mustangs with it ... it was a quick SUV ....low 13s i think... he smashed on a handfull of newer mustangs with 5 people in the truck... impressive....
an older guy, down here.. also restored one of the chevy, is it a cyclone?? s-10 pickup with a 4.3 turbo?? it was bone stock and running high 13s spinning like crazy... that thing was rather impressive too...
whatever you decide to do next...good luck with it...
Joe ...

ya the truck version is insane..
the suv and truck both sell for over 10G if you can find one for sale.
good luck on the sale
-
Yeah the syclone was the truck and the typhoon was the blazer. Both were 4.3 turbo charged and all wheel drive.
They go for around $6k-8k around here. Most are typhoons though and the syclone's go for a pretty penny if you can find one.
The grand Cherokee is enough for me though and has room to haul people around too.

if i was going to buy a 10,000 turbo car it would be a Lotus elan m100...starting with 162 hp
sounds good...and handles better stock, than my capri does now...

well good luck with your truck project...show us on here when you get it....
-
Yeah I will still be postin on here from time to time. And who knows I may end up keeping it for some strange reason.
I think that was the lotus that came with the same motor as the Isuzu Impulse RS. I wouldn't mind another one of those if I could find one.
-
Yeah the Lotus Elan M100 has the same 1.6 DOHC as the impulse RS... however the Elan is FWD whereas the RS is AWD with LSD's all over the place
RS gets my vote (http://smile.gif)

Woot!
