Hi all can anyone help me Ihave a 1991 xr2
when itry to start it cold ihave a hard start.
she will turnover but not start then she will stopturning over for a sec. then she will start again timing is at 12 likes it said in the book
RPMs at850 to 900 no good willnt start. Ihave to be around 2000 RPMs HELP

The starter will only turn it 300-400 RPM it will not turn at 900 or 2000 RPM.

If your timing is good check for vacuum leaks they can cause a rough start, the ECU is not properly metering how much air is coming in

I've also heard people having bad CLT - coolant temp sensors for the ECU. Ours is located in the bottom of the intake manifold, might be worth troubleshooting or replacing it.

Symptom I had with a bad ECT sensor was easy to start cold, but hard to start once it was warmed up.
