Thats a "bandaid" fix. I dont think its your HG either honestly, your Comptest numbers are too even

Lets check your rings & turbo, head gaskets are not hard to do on these engines. $45 is halfway to a gasket kit

If you need an engine, let me know. I have several. Both B6 and B6T's.

Liquid glass = waterglass = sodium silicate. It hardens on contact with CO2 gas. It could potentially work for coolant leaks, but not for oil, don't want to mix that stuff with oil. Its what they used to seize engines with in the Cash For Clunkers program

IMO - If you want to fix something, do it right, especially if you have long term plans with the car. It'd be okay if you want to limp a beater another month or two before junking it, but for a car you have high performance plans with - IMO its a no-go.

The more and more I think about it - I think your turbo might be shot in addition to having too much oil in the motor. Do you remember the procedure I told you for checking the turbo?

Yep. I remember. I'm going to do it once some snow clears. You seen my backyard and well now its worse lol. I'm going to start it up and drive it to the front drain the oil. Its fresh so I'll end up sticking it back in for now. Not sure if thats a no go so correct me if I'm wrong. I've drained other cars and used the same oil over minor stuff before. While I'm at it I'll check the turbo out and see if there is shaft play. I hope its just the turbo. Saves me from an engine. If not I'll go with a b6 and swap all my turbo parts over for the higher comp ratio.

Thanks again guys for the info. And yeah they say not to add it to the oil. Just to the coolent. But I'm leary on anything going into my car thats subbed as snake oil.
